They say you should pray in Texas because God can hear you better. Lone Star State citizens love our state and our flag! This beauty features red, white, and blue Spectrum Water Glass for the flag, a white Opalescent glass for a single-piece Texas star, a Texas Bluebonnet created using Wissmach blue on white wispy glass affixed to the top of the flag, and Spectrum green on white wispy glass for the leaves and stem. The Bluebonnet flower is one piece of glass, intricately cut and applied with a copper foil overlay (see "The Process - Foil" page for details), then soldered on the overlay to make the lines for the petals. The white and green on the flower petals are painted with Pebeo 160 Glass Paint and heat treated for a permanent finish before foiling.
