This handsome fellow perched on a stone church window facing is made from various shades of blue glass, adorned with hand-painted embellishments and heat treated for a permanent finish. The stone cathedral window facing constructed from textured brown glass is particularly stunning when lit up by the sun, creating a dazzling effect with twinkling light points across the frame and the leaves which were crafted with Oceanside Autumn Flame. Particular care was taken with the leaves for the direction of the glass to follow the natural direction of the veins of each leaf from the center out. A sturdy 16 gauge wire frames the piece and the sides of the Blue Jay’s tail for reinforcement.
