This dashing feathered friend perched on a wood cabin window facing is made from various shades of blue glass, adorned with hand-painted embellishments and heat-treated to ensure a permanent finish. The window facing which is constructed from Bullseye Woodbine glass is unique in that the rolled edge of the glass was used for the outside edges of the window facing and left open to best display the beauty of the edges. The autumn leaves are intentionally cut in such a way as to follow the natural direction of the veins of the leaves. A sturdy 16 gauge wire frames the inside edges of the piece and the sides of the Blue Jay’s tail for reinforcement.
