The details on this very custom light box were accomplished with not only painting for truck details, shadows, water grass, and reflections in the water, but also with plating, a Tiffany method of using more than one piece of glass behind another for the purpose of adding color, texture, or depth to an area of the piece. The sun's rays are made by plating some yellow water glass behind the single piece sky, and the interior of the truck is positioned behind the smoked glass windows for depth and additional detail. The wheel rims are also inset behind the outside glass that makes up the tires. Foil overlay is used for some of the details such as the trees on the land and the rearview and side mirrors on the truck. Finished size is 9" x 13" not including the light box. The light box has string lights installed around the inside edge and comes with a remote control to turn the lights on/off, dim, or set on a timer. There is some white foam board placed inside on the back, sides, and top for better reflection for the colored water glass, but can be easily removed if a darker setting is preferred. This can be customized with a different truck, different color, or can be made without the light box for a hanging panel of the same or different size.
